COMMON QUESTIONS

DOES A DOULA REPLACE THE NURSING STAFF?

No, a doula does not replace the nursing staff. A doula does not perform any medical acts such as taking your blood pressure, checking your temperature or administering medication. Your doula is strictly there for support, encouragement and to help with comfort measures. Call today to find out how else a doula can help you during your pregnancy, labor, delivery and postpartum.

DO YOU OFFER POSTPARTUM SUPPORT?

Yes, we offer postpartum support to help you ease into your new routine after your baby arrives. You can maintain these services for as long as you deem necessary. There is a 4 hour minimum for days and an 8 hour minimum for overnights. Services can begin immediately upon bringing your baby home.

WHERE DO YOU PROCESS THE PLACENTA?

The placenta is processed in your home once you transport it home from the hospital. We provide a transportation kit that you will have before your delivery. Processing in your home ensures that you receive the safest encapsulation possible. The process takes place over two days and can be done at your convenience.

DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Absolutely! We want everyone to be able to afford the benefits of having a doula. We can make payment arrangements that work for your family. Call today for more information.

CAN YOU DO BELLY BINDING IF YOU'VE HAD A C-SECTION?

Yes, once you go to your 6-week postpartum checkup and get an all-clear from your doctor. We want to make sure that your body is healing properly before we bind you.
